Jackie O'dell Eakes – May 18, 2017

Jackie O’dell Eakes, 81, of Panhandle died Thursday, May 18, 2017.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, in First Baptist Church in Panhandle with Warren Camp officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle, 208 Main.
Jackie was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Crawford, Okla. She graduated from Borger High School in 1954.  Jackie married Dean Eakes on Dec. 6, 1974.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Webb; and two sons, Darrell and Robert Price; and her first husband, Allen Price.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Eakes, of Panhandle; a daughter, Debra Black and husband Gary of Wylie; a son, Dale Price and wife Dena of Channing; a stepson, Jeff Eakes and wife Donna of Collierville, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Linda Eakes of Kansas City, Missouri and Nancy Camp and husband Bill of Arlington; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dixie Syferd; and a brother, Pete Webb.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Accolade Hospice Foundation, Inc., 5201 Indiana Ave., Suite 101, Lubbock, TX 79413; or to First Baptist Church of Panhandle, 701 Main St, Panhandle, TX 79068.
The family will receive family and friends from 5-7pm, Friday, May 19, 2017, at Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle.

  1. My mom Betty Pool-Martin, and her are doing a lot of catching up, Breaks my heart- Prayers.

  2. I always had so much fun around her and all, I remember she was such a great cook. I’m so sorry for her loss, Prayers of Strength to all the family and her Friends.
