Holly Kay Smith, aged 49, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Amarillo, TX.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Southwest Church of Christ, officiated by Lynn Rhodes. The burial will take place at Llano Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, located at 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Holly was born on May 26, 1975, in Amarillo, TX, to Gary Don Storrs and Judy Kathryn (Rhodes) Storrs. She attended Amarillo High School.

For 23 years, Holly worked as an optician at Advanced Eye Care. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, watching the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Patrick Mahomes, and following the New Kids on the Block.

Holly cherished being with her children and was known for her exceptional qualities as a mother, sister, and aunt. Described as the most radiant presence in any room, Holly was recognized for her hard work, resilience, selflessness, and her nurturing nature.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Smith; her sons, Troy Messer with wife Autumn, Garrett Messer with wife Brittany, Ethan Smith, and Kason Smith; her brother, Shane Storrs with wife Angel; her nephews, Cody Hogan with wife Cassey and Cayden Storrs; her parents, Gary and Judy Storrs; her mother-in-law, Terri Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
