Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday October 3, 2024. Henryetta Jane Clark, better known as “Terry” or “Granny” was born on June 2, 1943 in Guymon, OK to Henry Carter and Hazel Rea (Heath) Carter. She was one of eight children. As a young child, she enjoyed playing outside with her siblings. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. Granny could always be found outside watering her beautiful flowers and grass or playing with her puppy dogs Daisy and Peaches.
She married Butch Clark on January 25th, 1963, in LaJunta, Colorado. They shared two children together, Brenda and Mike. They spent time together hauling cattle in his semi-truck. She began her career in Human Resources at Lamar Community College. She moved to Aurora CO in the late 90’s. She worked at Arapahoe Community College as the Human Resources Director for 30 years, which she later retired from in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Butch Clark, sisters; Hazel Lou and Buell Flanagan, Mary and Bert Hagaman and Bobbie Ferris; brother-in-law Unkie Butch Tigrett.
She is survived by her siblings Harvey (Charlotte) Carter, JoDell Tigrett, Jeff (Sue) Ellard, and Kathryn Harper. Her children Brenda (Rex) Bamber and Michael Clark. Her grandchildren BreAnne (Max) Peña, Brittany Miller, Cody (Heather) Aper, Wade Trost, Katelyn Aper and Joe Clark along with step grandchildren Braxton (Jana) Bamber and Rhiley Bamber and her great grandchildren Naomi Lopato, Carson Peña, Keira (Emmanuel) Peña, Kolten Glass, Kali Glass, Hayden Hall, Keean Ethridge, Tahlia Ethridge, Wesley Bamber, David Bamber, Jackson Bamber, Brody Jones and Dallas Moberley as well as one great great granddaughter Nevaeh Celise Jane Peña-Rivera arriving in December 2024. And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She loved all of her family without hesitation and always had something to say. She was the woman that if you knew her you loved her.
Services will be at 1:00pm on October 8, 2024 at Family Worship Center, 11901 I-272 in Amarillo, Texas with Pastor George and Pastor Danny officiating.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Cardiology Center of Amarillo, BSA Compassion Home Health, FMC Palliative Care as well as the wonderful team at Northwest Texas Hospital ICU for all of the support and love they gave not only to Granny but to the family also.
