Harold Gene Huguley, 63, of Amarillo, TX passed away on June 4, 2022.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery in Custer City, OK. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Harold Gene was born in Amarillo, TX on December 19, 1958, to Doris and H.C. Huguley.

He graduated from Caprock High School in 1977 and earned an Associate Degree from Amarillo College. He served in the United States Army. After returning to Amarillo from the Army, he went on to work for the City of Amarillo. He retired from the City of Amarillo in 2002.

Harold Gene was a craftsman. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, fishing, collecting, camping, and spending time outdoors.

He was also active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts

for over 20 years

and

was a part of

the River Road

PTA

for all five children

.

Harold Gene was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He served as a

long-time deacon

, handy man extraordinaire, and children’s Sunday School teacher

for his church

.

He

loved his church family like his own. Harold Gene

cooked for the Pleasant Valley Baptist Discovery School for over 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mark Huguley.

Survivors include his wife Suzy Huguley, of the home; son, Brian Keith Huguley, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Jean Nicole Huguley and fiancé Jesus Moreno, of Amarillo, TX, Audrey Anne Huguley, of Denver, CO, Sarah Marie Huguley Comes and husband Trever, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Doris Renee Huguley, Denver, CO; brother, Glenn Allen Huguley and wife Teresa, of Amarillo, TX; four

incredible

grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless others

who called him dad

.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Monday, June 6, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
