With great sorrow we announce the passing of Grant Harms Henly. Grant passed away the morning of Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, in the comfort of his parent’s home in Dallas, TX. Grant lived in Kerrville, TX where he had established himself in a supportive and encouraging community surrounded by people who believed in him. His positive outlook and passion for helping others had become his purpose in this life and one he had truly embraced. Grant touched the lives of so many. Through his memory, he will continue impacting lives.
Grant is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Marianne Harms and Joe and Hazel Knittle. He is survived by his father and mother, Bill and Lisa Henly, sister, Danyelle Hoedebeck, brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Taylor Henly, nieces, Chloe Hoedebeck, Henly Hoedebeck, Hazel Henly, nephews, John Bryan Venable Jr., and Jacob Hoedebeck.
Rosary services will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX. Mass will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024, in St. Mary’s Cathedral. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
In Honor of Grant, with the hope of continuing his passions for helping others, the family has established the Grant Henly Memorial Fund through First United Bank. The Memorial fund will go to Stonegate Rehabilitation Center in Azle, TX to help assist those struggling with addiction defray costs as they transition to the Sober Living Home.
