Genie was my cousin since her grandmother was my dad’s half sister. My dad, Dan Fenley, moved to Lubbock from Ardmore along with 2 brothers, Tom and Roy sometime in the mid to late 20s. When I was a child many times we came from Lubbock to visit Demo in the Paramount addition and eventually at the old Amarillo Hotel down town. Our prayers are with the family.

A beautifully sweet lady. She was my neighbor and friend for many years. She also was a great mentor to our son when he spent some time at Boys Ranch. She will be missed.
