Gene Fox

Gene Fox, 80, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will follow in Claude, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Gene was born October 19, 1943, in Brownsville, TX to Channing and Ethel (Phillips) Fox. He graduated from Brownsville High School and earned his associate degree from Amarillo College and bachelor's degree from Wayland University. He married Betty Dunn on November 18, 1965, in Canyon, TX. Gene loved woodworking and making pottery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dan Fox.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Fox, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Tammy Alvarez and husband Ed, of Roswell, NM; sons, Sean Fox and wife Brandy, of Claude, TX, and Brian Fox and wife Ronda, of Lake Charles, TX; grandchildren, Brett, Kelly, Kayla, Bethany, and Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Jonah, Avacyn, Zeke, Hunter, Willow, William, and Alexander.
