Gary Mason

Gary Mason went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2024.

Visitation will be from 4-6:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Rest Lawn Cemetery in Hereford, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Gary was born in Clarendon, TX on May 10, 1929 to Robert and Aleph Mason. He joined the United States Airforce and served during the Korean War from 1950-1954. In 1954, after returning from the military, he married Lyla Robbins. Gary was a longtime farmer in Hereford.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years; daughter, Kristi Langgood; two brothers; and two sisters.

Gary is survived by daughters, Cheri Pittard (Joel) and Marinda Janovec (Doug); son, Van Mason; nine grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Frio Baptist Church or to Turning Point Ministries.
