Frank Raymond Rikal, III, 81, of Amarillo, TX passed away October 22, 2024.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Frank was born November 14, 1942, in Havre De Grace, MD to Frank Raymond Rikal, Jr. and Lena (Randow) Rikal. He graduated from Butler High School in Butler, PA in 1960, and then joined the United States Navy where he was stationed in Baltimore, MD. Through his service in the Navy, Frank was trained in electronics in Jacksonville, FL, which helped him with his future occupation as a Lineman. Frank worked as a Lineman for SPS/Xcel Energy for 20 years.
Frank was a single dad raising three daughters in the 80’s. He was an avid hunter, he enjoyed competition shooting and hunting with a bow and arrow. He was a member of the Borger Shooting Club. Frank enjoyed playing BINGO, at Southlawn Bingo Hall and was often victorious. He loved the ladies and was a bit onery. Frank loved going dancing and spending time with his dogs, Maks, Mollie, and Walter; they were his babies!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Jr. and Lena Rikal.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Rikal, Jennifer Mitchell, and Raylene Rikal; siblings, Rebecca Barkey and Susan Rikal; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
