Henry, Floyd obituaryFloyd Henry Jr., 80, of Lubbock, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Temple Baptist Church with Chad Mantooth, pastor, officiating.  Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Bethany Baptist Church in Lubbock.  Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Floyd was born on February 7, 1933 in Lubbock to Floyd Henry Sr. and Edna Stokes Henry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He had worked as a master carpenter having retired from Texas Tech Cabinet Shop.  He was also a master motor grader operator.

Floyd married Beth Warren in 1954 in Lubbock.  He later married Trudie Morris in 1966 in Lubbock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Trudie Morris; a son Donald Morris; a daughter, Charlotte Krebbs; and three brothers.

He is survived by his son, Wes Henry and wife Linda of Amarillo; a daughter, Terri Wagner and husband Glen of Amarillo; two sisters, Doris Hulsey of Dumas and Louise Wright of Lubbock; former wife, Beth McBeth; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren

Viewing will take place in Lubbock from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church on Saturday.

The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, to benefit the patients at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Hidden Falls Ranch, P.O. Box 136, Wayside, TX 79094.
