Evodio Elizondo

Evodio Elizondo, 71, of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 7, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Evodio was born in Mexico on April 28, 1951, to Audelia and Cesario Elizondo. He married Amelia Cervantes in Mexico on December 26, 1976.

Evodio worked as a farmer and welder until his retirement. He had lived in Sunray, TX until 2004 and then he moved to Amarillo, TX in 2005. He enjoyed gardening and wood working. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.

Evodio was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gilberto Elizondo; and brother, Pablo Elizondo.

Survivors include his wife, Amelia Elizondo, of Amarillo, TX; sons, Rodolfo Elizondo, of Amarillo, TX, Oscar Elizondo and wife Alicia, of Amarillo, TX, and Luis Elizondo and wife Ashley, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Lorena Marquez and husband Adam, of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Pablo Elizondo, Ramon Elizondo, Jose Elizondo, Adolfo Elizondo, Cesario Elizondo, and Antonio Elizondo; sisters, Josefina Yanez, Maria Del Refugio Aguilar, and Carmela Anaya; and fourteen grandchildren, Aneesa, Oscar, Lindsey, Ariel, Evan, Gabriella, Julie, Ayden, Isabella, Alia, Noah, Nico, Alex, and Ezekiel.
