Evelyn Marie Crump Turner – September 9, 2017

Evelyn Marie Crump Turner, 91, passed away in Amarillo, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the funeral home.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, in First Christian Church in Woodson, Texas with Matt Bomhoff officiating.  Burial will be in Woodson Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Marie was born on May 9, 1926 to James Oliver Crump and Susan Janet Parrott Crump in Woodson, Texas.  She graduated from Woodson High School, attended North Texas Teachers College and nursing school.
Marie loved being a homemaker, sewing and her most favorite job later selling ladies clothing at the Hat and Gown in Breckenridge, Texas.
She was preceded in death by husbands, James Simeon Timmons and Charles Kent Turner;  son-in-law, David Bergmann; and grandson, John Bergmann.
Survivors include her daughters, Janette Caviness and husband Terry of Amarillo and Peggy Bergmann of Park City, Utah; two grandsons, Trevor Caviness and wife Sarah and Regan Caviness and wife Kelly; a granddaughter, Katherine Bergmann; six great-grandchildren, Sam, Charlotte, Emily, Harper and Asher Caviness and Brooklyn Marie Hughes.
The past 11 years since moving from her home in Breckenridge, Texas, she has lived at Craig Methodist Retirement Community and Bivins Pointe previously known as Childers Place.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pink Ladies c/o Stephens Memorial Hospital, 200 Geneva Ave., Breckenridge, TX 76424; Woodson Cemetery Association, PO Box 152, Woodson, TX, 76491; or to a charity of your choice.

    My deepest sympathy to the family. Marie was a wonderful woman. I was so honored to have worked at Childers and to meet your mother she was an elegant woman. My prayers are with you at this time of loss.
