Emma Loraine Brown

Emma Loraine (Shott) Brown, passed away September 10, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 13, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Emma was born in Winters, TX to her parents, Dewey C. Shott and Altha Hood on February 4, 1939. She grew up in Winters and Abilene, TX areas where she met and married her husband of 67 years, James Coy Brown. Throughout her life, she was always willing to try new things. She worked at Prefab Inc. Sheet Metal Shop making roof jacks. She also went to school and received her license to do manicures. Emma loved to read and travel. She lived a life full of love and kindness for her family and others. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Coy Brown.

Emma is survived by her children, LuAnn Martin, Barbara Hamilton, and Tommy Brown; sister, Nina Mussier; brother, Morris E. Shott; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
