Elsie Mary Fangman, 85, of Vega died Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 Main.

Elsie was born January 16, 1933, in Umbarger to Paul and Mary Artho.  In 1951, she married Eugene Fangman, in Umbarger.  For more than 50 years, Elsie lived in Vega.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Elroy Artho, Harvey Artho, Leo Artho, Willie Artho and Kenneth Artho; and sisters, Gracie Raef, Edna Wieck, and Viola Birkenfeld.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Fangman of Vega; three sons, Ronnie Fangman and wife Karen of Vega, Kenny Fangman and wife Suzy of Lubbock, and Fred Fangman and wife Sharon, of Vega; three daughters, Cherri Estes and husband Tom of Adrian, Mary Watley and husband Roy of Amarillo, and Ann Newbill and husband Les of Mesa, Arizona; a sister, Irene Reinert of Hereford; two brothers, Joe Artho and wife Teresa of Hereford, and Andy Artho and wife Cynthia of Vega; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th Ave #100, Amarillo, TX 79106; or to Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega, Box 496, Vega, TX 79092.

    Dear Gene and family, I loved talking to Rlsie at the Post Office it wherever we ran into each other. Getting my hugs and laughs from her would make my day. She will be missed. Prayers for you all during this time.
