Elizabeth Yvonne Valadez Gutierrez was the daughter of the late Ricardo Valadez.   She is survived by her loving mother, Irene Valadez; her loving son, DeMarrio Gutierrez; three brothers, Raul Valadez, and Juan Ortiz and wife Caroline, all of Phoenix, Arizona and Ricardo Valadez, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Linda Vallejo of Phoenix, Arizona and Jo Anne Rodriguez and husband Marcos, of Hereford, Texas; two nieces, Amy Uribe and husband Fernando, of Phoenix, Arizona and Daisy Valadez, of San Antonio, Texas; four nephews, Abraham Rosas and James Vallejo, both of Phoenix, Arizona, Francisco Montijo, of Amarillo, Texas and Joel Montijo, of Hereford, Texas; and many loving family and friends.
Elizabeth was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate’s Degree in nursing.  Elizabeth touched many lives in her nursing career.  She strived for excellence and always put her patients first.  She started her RN career at Bivins Nursing home continuing on to LinCare Home Health.  She also worked at Texas Department of Corrections.  Her current employment was at Northwest Texas Hospital as RN night supervisor on the Pavilion unit.  Through her career, she dedicated many years in cushioning the pains and sorrows of others and comforted them with her love, warmth and compassion.  Elizabeth loved her nursing career but her true passion was transpired when she became a mother to her one and only son, DeMarrio.  He was her greatest love.  She was a loving, dedicated mother and raised DeMarrio in a God loving home.  She was totally selfless in her love for him.  She was a strong, beautiful soul and will be missed by many.  For all her hard work and sacrifice was not in vain.  She was blessed with her most precious, valued, and trophied accomplishment, her only beloved son, DeMarrio Gutierrez.
The family would like to thank all of Elizabeth’s many friends and co-workers who enriched and shared in her joyful life.  We find comfort in knowing that God’s will is perfect and that Elizabeth is residing in Heaven with her loved ones in a peaceful existence that is free of pain, strife and worry.  Remember she only has physically rested from her labor.  It is not goodbye but til we meet again.
Her son would like to share her last text from her to him, “Te Quiero Corazon.”
