Elizabeth Mae Green, 81, of Amarillo, Tx went home to be with the Lord and many of her beloved family members on Tuesday, July 18

The viewing will be held Saturday, July 22

from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, The Rosary will be held Sunday, July 23

at 4:00 pm at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 24

, at St Joseph Catholic Church located at 4122 S. Bonham St in Amarillo, Tx. A burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Nazareth, Tx for the immediate family.
Elizabeth was born July 28
th
, 1941, in Tulia, Tx to John and Marie Hanson who then resided in Nazareth, Tx.
She married Rodney Joe Green on October 30
th
, 1962, in Fort Worth, Tx.
Elizabeth retired from K-mart as a personal manager, she worked for the Downtown Women’s Center and the Salvation Army for several years until she became disabled and was no longer able to work.
Elizabeth was a devoted Catholic and the Matriarch of her family. She never met a stranger, and her door was always open to friends and family in need of a meal or a place to lay their heads. She was a sweet and beautiful angel and very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a hard worker and loved to travel with her husband Rod, she loved to attend mass anytime she was able to and play Solitaire on her computer as well as watching a good western show and the Price is Right. She will live on in the hearts of all that knew her. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed until we see her again.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Joe Green, a son Peter Lawrence Green, and a grandaughter Haley Sue Green.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Green, Timothy Green,and wife Robin of Amarillo, Tx, Mark Green and wife Kim of Knoxville, TN, and Ronald Green and Shelly Escamilla of Seattle, Washington. A sister Agnes Campbell and husband Richard of Amarillo, Tx. Twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 6309 Dartmouth Street after the burial.
