Edna Short Faulkner, 95, of Amarillo, TX passed away April 10, 2024.
Visitation will be from 3-4:30 PM, Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 15, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Edna was born in Greenville, Texas on September 23, 1928, to Benjamin and Lola Noyes.
She was active in Amarillo Senior Citizens and loved the dances. Edna had many trophies for being an exceptional domino player. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Friona, TX for 16 years. They relocated to Vega where they farmed for 16 years. Following the death of her husband, Charlie Short, Edna moved to Amarillo where she attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charlie Short; and brothers, Bubba, Don, and Jimmy.
Edna is survived by her children, Marie Fowler of Canyon, TX, Mary Criswell and husband Jerry of Canyon, TX, Charles D. Short and wife Susie of Baytown, TX, Jena Shepherd and husband David of Pass Christian, MS, and Kelli Walden of Amarillo, TX; brother, Bobby Noyes and wife Charlie of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Faye Keener of Amarillo, and Beverly Brown of Amarillo, TX; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
