Felt Obit PhotoDorothy Ann Felts, 88, of Dumas, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.
 
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in Northlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dumas with Darren Elliott, grandson, and pastor of Christ Community Church of Vega, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.
 
Dorothy was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Midland, to Claude Clinton “Big Boy” and Lilly Allen Whatley.  She married W.R. “Bill” Felts on April 6, 1947.  Dorothy was a 4-H leader for 25 years.  She loved to sew and cook and make her famous brownies for friends and family.  Dorothy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Floyd “Red” Whatley, L.C. “Cec” Whatley and Tom Whatley; sisters, Pearl Miller, Opal Horne and Beth Hays Glass; and two great-grandsons, Graham Lee Elliott and Slade Douglas Elliott.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis and Al Lovell of Paint Rock and Becky and Lee Elliott of Hartley; a son, Richard and Judy Felts of Dumas; a sister, JoNell Welch of Temple; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Whatley of Midland and Blanche Whatley of Demming, NM; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Dumas Memorial Hospice, 209 S Bliss Ave, Dumas, TX 79029; or to a favorite charity.
