Dolores Fay Berna

Dolores Fay Berna 82, of Amarillo Texas left the Earth on May 23, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. 

A Celebration of Life will follow at 413 Mesquite (Heath Berna’s House)

Dolores was born June 5, 1941, in Hammon Oklahoma to Curtis Dillard Mathews & Dorthy Fay Lackey. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Dillard Mathews & Dorthy Fay Lackey Mathews; husband, Dennis Lee Berna; brother, Curtis Dean Mathews; and son-in-law, Quentin Mark Ely.

Dolores is survived by her children, Denise Ann Ely, Delbert Lee Berna, Barbara Ann Berna, and Dawnya Renee Molina; siblings, Dena Mullenix, Chester Mathews, Delbert Mathews, Janice Thigpen, and Linda Page. She was known as G Ma to Skylar, Morgan, Austin, Madeline, Colton, & Jenny Ely, Heath and Tisha Berna, Heather and Josh Brock, and Blake, Jacob and Kitawny Molina; and great-grandkids Mile, Jubilee, Jaci, Jayden, Jaylynn, Kyra, Kylie, and Kaitlyn. 

We all know she wore MANY hats! Daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mom, G ma and of course THE BOSS! Also known as Dee Berna.  No matter what all her family was into she was there. She was the energizer bunny back in the day and then she became the Nap Queen

Dennis Lee Berna had Delores Fay Mathews as his beautiful bride from November 6,1958 till the day they meet again in Heaven!
