Dene Everett Walter

Dene Everett Walter, 77, of Amarillo, TX passed away February 11, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 15, 2024 in the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Dene was born November 19, 1946 in Binghampton, NY to Frank and Thelma Walter. Dene married Charlotte Schroader on June 3, 1989 in Huntsville, TX. Dene was proud to be a veteran and of his service time in the Army and Army Reserves. His family was his most cherished possession and his grandkids and great-grandkids were very important to him. He made sure to let us know how proud he was of all of them. Dene exemplified what it meant to be a Dad. He would drop everything and come help when you called. Dene loved to brag and boast about his family.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte Walter; sister, Amy Ramsdell of Buckton, NY; sons, Chad Walter and wife Cindy of Grovetown, GA, Jaie Walter and wife Lisa of Magnolia, TX, and Eric Nicholas and wife Tara of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Deanna Walter of Dexter, KY, Cindy Sahli and husband Ryan of Billings, MT, and Heather Lewis and husband Joshua of Amarillo, TX; grandkids, Ryan Alderson and Delaney Alderson of Dexter, KY, Brian Walter and Sierra Walter of Grovetown, GA, Gabie Walter and Madi Walter of Magnolia, TX, Courtney Dickerson, Teagan Sahli, and Devlin Sahli of Billings, MT; Kaytlynn Nicholas, Ariel Hollingsworth, Keely Thompson, Mairkqus Thompson, Makenzie Nicholas, and Hunter Nicholas all of Amarillo, TX; and one great-grandchild, Sayler Nicholas of Amarillo, TX.
