Deborah was born to William Ray St. John and Opal Doris Middelton St. John on November 9, 1951, in Stamford, TX.

Deborah enjoyed life in many activities: she enjoyed spending her time with the Lord and was baptized in her faith at the age of 10.  She kept that faith throughout her life and marriage and her faith in Jesus Christ carried her home on Monday April 8, 2024.

She got her GED and her associate’s degree at Navarro College and attended West Texas State University while raising a family.

Debrorah married Michael Neal Lee on June 10, 1966.

Her various jobs included working at Gibson’s Department Store as a department manager, retiring as an assistant teacher at Lawndale, all the while being a homemaker for 58 years.

She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and was able to see him live in concert.  Deborah loved dirt track racing, NASCAR, football, fishing, spending time at the lake, picnics, country music, concerts, dancing, cruises, and get-togethers with her family.

Deborah loved her children, and grandchildren.  She never met a child that she didn’t feed and take in as her own.  She loved to cook and bake and was one of the best and was the heartbeat of the home and kitchen.

She loved Mickey Gilley and was able to see him in Branson, MO, and once in Ruidoso, NM, which was her favorite place to travel and where she enjoyed the horse races and the mountains every chance she could.  There was never a Western shown on television that she didn’t enjoy.  She was incredibly vivacious and full of love, life, and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Judy St. John Standefer; a brother, Jerry Michael St. John; and grandson, Nicklas Baylee Lee.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Neal Lee, of Amarillo, TX; her children, Michael Brent Lee wife Debbie, of Amarillo, TX, Brian Neal Lee and wife Kathi, of Alabama, Bradley Wayne Lee and wife Kim of Ft. Worth, TX, and Brandy Micheal Lee, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Randall Lee and wife Keara of California, Jason Lee of Amarillo, Justin Lee, of Amarillo, Megan Lee of Amarillo, and Hunter Lee of Amarillo.
