Dawn Mae (Rohl) Danner, 64, of Amarillo, TX, was called to heaven on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Dawn was born on May 19, 1960, to Jim and Ramona (Kincaid) Rohl. She attended Amarillo College, where she pursued her passion for helping others by becoming an X-Ray Technician. Later, she served as an Administrative Assistant at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where she found joy in her work and connection to her faith community.
Dawn's vibrant personality shone through her passions. She was an enthusiastic Mary Kay consultant, sharing her love for skin care with others. Music was her constant companion—she loved listening, singing, and finding joy in music. A loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, she cheered them on with unwavering pride.
Dawn cherished her family above all else, especially her three grandchildren, with whom she shared countless treasured moments. Her creative spirit flourished in crafting and designing beautiful handmade cards. She also had a dream of building her very own tiny house—a reflection of her desire to be able to be near family and a freedom to travel to visit them. One of the things she looked forward to and talked about often was an annual sibling trip to reconnect with her brother Van and “seester” Eve.
She is survived by her son, Martin Danner, and his wife Teresa of Buda, TX; her three grandchildren, Nolan, Kinsey, and Ava; her brother, Van Rohl of O’Fallon, IL; her sister, Eve Clark, and her husband Shannon of Mt. Zion, IL; and her beloved niece, Jenny Rohl. Dawn is reunited in heaven with her parents, Jim and Ramona Rohl.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Amarillo, TX. Pastor Jeffrey Geske will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or to Susan G. Komen to end breast cancer.
Dawn will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and boundless love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
