Dana Roberson

Dana Kay (Crownover) Roberson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at age 66 on February 29, 2024, with her family by her side.

Dana was born on November 7, 1957, to James and Martha Crownover in Abilene Texas. Dana was the second oldest of four siblings, Teresa, Glen, and Lynda. On March 11, 1977, Dana married the love of her life, Larry, and they went on to have quadruplet sons, Larry Wayne, Daryl, Jamie, and Jesse.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Crownover, and sister Lynda McCain. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry; sons, Larry and Ashley, Jamie and Valerie, and Jesse all of Amarillo, Daryl and Lauren of Thorndale. She was a proud grandmother of eight, Kyle, Isabella, Ella, Bella, Kendall, Abigail, Mariah, and Emery. Plus, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She enjoyed watching Disney movies, old westerns, and foreign movies. She was a collector of many things, including gnome figurines, Disney memorabilia, and rubber stamps. Dana also enjoyed playing board games, especially Back Up 3; the games were fun, but it was more about the closeness of having her family’s love and laughter around her. She later took on the tradition of being the keeper of family births and deaths, and she scribed a yearly calendar for family members with everyone on it. In the end, we feel she found joy in hearing her boys teasing anticks and would have put her two cents in if she could. We will miss her dearly.

Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Dana Kay Roberson. Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
