Clyde Alvin Nunn, 85, of Amarillo, TX passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 11, 2024.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 18, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Clyde was born the eighth of nine on August 22, 1939 in Clayton, NM to William Milton and Hazel Schoonover Nunn. Clyde was employed by Southwestern Public Service for 39 years as a draftsman. He was well respected by his peers. He enjoyed gambling and his trips to Wendover, NV where he and Helen met many friends. Clyde loved working in his yard, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Craig Asher Nunn; son-in-law, Craig Guyer; and great-grandson, Levi Eytcheson.
He is survived by his “Best Friend” and wife, Helen Nunn; daughter, Karalei Nunn and husband Tom Nichols of Georgetown, TX; sons, Tommy Nunn and Craig Nunn and wife Judy all of Amarillo, TX; stepchildren, David Smith of Euless, TX, Debbie Warren and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX, Lori Guyer of Pampa, TX, and Steve Smith and wife Christi of Wylie, TX; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the great team of doctors that cared for him over the years, BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their kindness and compassion for caring for Clyde, as well as the staff and nurses of Centerwell Home Healthcare.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Harrington Cancer Center.
