Clarecia Jackson was born in Olney, Texas on March 2, 1940, to Tommie and Irene Roe. She went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2023. Tommie Roe served in WWII. While he was in the service, Mrs. Roe lived with son, Benny, and daughter, Clarecia in DeLeon, Texas.
In 1947, the Roe family moved to Abilene, Texas where Clarecia attended public schools. Then, Hardin Simmons University where she earned a bachelor’s degree. Clarecia then left the work force to raise daughter, Sheri Wickman, and son, Mike Jackson. In 1993, she went back into the work force at Texas Workforce Commission until 2010.
Shortly after moving to Amarillo in 1962, Clarecia and Don joined First Baptist Church and immediately became involved in various church ministries. Clarecia sang in the choir and served in the WMU, holding many offices including president. Also, Clarecia and Wilma Tomes started the Flower Ministry which continues today. In addition, Clarecia was involved in VBS. She and Don have been directors of various Sunday School Departments.
