Claire McCabe – January 20, 2018

Claire McCabe, 79, of Dumas, died Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel with Marlon Ham officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Claire was born on July 17, 1938 in Laguna Beach, California to Mildred and Byron Brady. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, O. W. “Buster” McCandless; a son, Hollis Annen; a sister, Judy Stevens and a brother, Kenny Brady.
She is survived by her husband, W. A. “Bill” McCabe; four sons, Curtis McCandless, Danny McCandless, Kent McCabe, and Keith McCabe; two daughters, Carla McCabe and Janice Jordan; two brothers, Wayne Fowler and Melvin Fowler; and a sister, Shirley Ryder; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    I loved my sister Claire McCabe very much. I will miss her terribly. She was a wonderful joy to be around.

    To The McCabe Family- Our Deepest Sympathy –
    When visiting family in Amarillo- we had the Pleasure of meeting Claire and “Uncle Bill” She was the happiest- kindest- not forgetting- the Birthday Cakes! Ive kept in touch with Claire over the years -but more often the last 2 tears–She loved her FAMILY- friends-Living in Amarillo- and ‘Zoey” I will miss our chats and her laugh… Prayers of strength to the HEARTS she touched… God Bless Her Family and this most difficult time
