Charles "Chuck" Trueman Busby – January 11, 2018

Charles “Chuck” Trueman Busby, 86, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on November 4, 1931, to Milton Everett and Olivia Pearl (King) Busby in Muleshoe, Texas.
Chuck was a 22-year United States Air Force veteran, serving in the Korea and Vietnam conflicts, finishing with a rank of Master Sergeant. Upon his military retirement, he continued to serve the Air Force as a civilian transportation instructor for 19 years.
He was a 50-year Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge (Mahomet, Illinois) and Brother of the Scottish Rite (Danville, Illinois).
He was an avid coin collector, fierce domino player, inventive coupon clipper and loyal Ford enthusiast.
Chuck was a master of many trades. He was never content with one occupation, often filling his idle time with personal projects, side businesses and community service. The Boy Scouts were a cause close to his heart and he spent his later years raising money for local troops.
Chuck is survived by his children Linda Busby, Pam Waltz, Tammie Brooks, Steve Anderson, Darlene Busby and Ginger Hebert; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three siblings Harold Busby, Hoytt Busby and Lois Jane Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Olivia, his wife Donna Jean (Hall) Busby, and his siblings Clyde, Calvin, Mary, May, Norris, Ida and Joyce.
Burial services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Boy Scouts of America, Golden Eagle District.
