Candace Lorene Anderson

Candy Anderson, 72, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Candy was born October 15, 1951, to Norman and Elda (Wilson) Landers in Monticello, IA, and grew up in Delhi and Hopkinton, IA.   

Candy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and worked as a quality assurance supervisor for Heinz.

She married Garry Singer; he preceded her in death.

She made her home in Plainview, TX for eight years and recently moved to Amarillo, TX.

Candy also was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy O’Neill.

Survivors include her sons, Garry Singer, of Amarillo, TX, Brian Singer, of Long Island, NY, and Sean Anderson (McKay), of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, LeeAnn Landers, of Florida, and Lisa Buckman, of Cedar Rapids, IA; and three grandchildren, Isaiah, Magnolia, and Eli.
