Bonnie Miller Altman

May 29, 1953 — January 18, 2025

Bonnie Miller Altman passed away on January 18, 2025 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Bonnie leaned daily on her faith in Jesus Christ and her relationship with Him was a great comfort to her during her illness.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Hillside Christian Church West Campus Chapel, 6100 Soncy. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Bonnie was born on May 29, 1953 in Guymon, Ok to Warren and Nadine (Rhoton) Miller. Bonnie grew up in Kerrick, Tx, a very tight knit community where she made lifelong friends. Bonnie loved growing up in a small town. She enjoyed spending Saturday nights in Keyes, Ok with her parents, sister, both sets of grandparents, cousins and many aunts and uncles. She also enjoyed spending summers at her grandparents' cabin in Cuchara, Co.

Bonnie graduated from Stratford High School in 1971. She then attended WT from 1971 to 1972. Bonnie married Larry Jolly in 1972 and gave birth to her daughter Brandy Jolly in May of 1973. Bonnie married Danny Altman in 1981 and their daughter Allison Altman was born in July of 1982. Danny and Bonnie lived in Tulsa, Ok then moved to Tucson, Az before moving back to Amarillo. Danny passed away in 1999 after 18 wonderful years of marriage. Bonnie worked as a mortgage loan officer and loved helping buyers purchase their dream homes. She was a staple in the real estate community and made many great friends. After retirement she enjoyed working in a daycare. 

Bonnie enjoyed reading, painting, crafting, latch hooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie had many wonderful friends and loved her weekly lunches with them. She took pleasure in going to concerts and traveling with Fritz Blanke and her dog, Freckles. Bonnie also cherished her daily phone calls with her daughters and those conversations will always be special memories for them.

Bonnie was proceeded in death by her parents and husband Danny, her father-in-law Ben Altman and wife Gloria.

She is survived by her daughter Brandy Ellison and husband Cory, daughter Allison Adams and husband Willie, stepson Coleman Altman and wife Shelly, grandchildren Ashton Ellison, Kaden Ellison and Finance Macayla, Adrian Lemons and husband Dawson, Elijah Adams, Emery Adams, Hailey Torres and husband Matthew, Tate Altman, Bennett Altman, sister Debra Allen and husband Clay, brothers-in-law Bobby Altman and wife Chris, Lee Friedman and wife Marilyn, Bobby Friedman and wife Nancy, her love Fritz Blanke, her dog Freckles, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and longtime family friend Brenda Taylor.

The family requests any memorials be sent to American Cancer Society or a local pet rescue.
