Bobby K. Houchin, Jr.

Bobby K. Houchin, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas passed from this life on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Fort Worth at the age of 73.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the Chapel at the First Presbyterian Church, 1100 S. Harrison in Amarillo, with Murray Gossett, Associate Pastor, officiating. A private interment will follow in the Goodnight Cemetery in Goodnight, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Bobby was born on December 20, 1951, in Seguin, Texas to Bobby K. Sr. and Charlotte (Young) Houchin. He graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Oklahoma Christian College. He later served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thailand. Bobby attended Christ Chapel and enjoyed reading the Bible and American history books. He loved drinking coffee, listening to talk radio and having in-depth conversations regarding politics.

Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Jeff Houchin, a sister, Elizabeth Shelton and her husband, Eugene Shelton.

Bobby is survived by two sons, Jeremy and wife Jessica and Adam and wife Alma ; one daughter, Regan Donnell and husband Ryan ; his parents, Bob and Charlotte Houchin of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Donna Marsello and husband Paul of Fort Worth, and Jennifer Lunn and husband Luke of Amarillo; his sister-law, Rita Houchin of Amarillo; and six grandchildren.
