Billy Ray Walton “Daddy Bill”, 85 went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2025 and his wife, Betty whom he so dearly missed upon her death in December of 2021. We know he has found her and is so happy.
Memorial service to honor Daddy Bill will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 4, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Billy had a few jobs before really finding out what his gift was and that was in the tile business. He started with Bernard Tile Co, moving on to Holland Tile & Marble Co, for many years then joined his son at Quality Ceramic Tile Co. He was there for 20 years as a Master Craftsman and completed many awesome commercial building projects as well as custom homes and remodels during his 50 years in the industry. Upon retirement, he was quite the “piddler”, if it was broken, he was going to fix it even if he had to go to the library, check out a book, and learn how; this was before YouTube! He cherished his grandchildren and always has a way of picking on them. He still had his onery ways with his many nurses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Billy is survived by sons, Bill Walton Jr and wife Tana, and Mark Walton; grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Brittany, Nicholas, Aric, Elizabeth, Jacquelyn, Makinsey, Tyler, Thomas, and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Jerrett, Chassie, Tate, Max, Zayne, Ella, Easton, Haisley, Valentina, Everly, and Eli; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We would like to give special thanks to Melissa Stovall of BSA Hospice of the Southwest for her thoughtful care and compassion for Daddy Bill.
