Billy F. “Bill” Barker, 82, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bill was born July 29, 1931, in Erick, OK to Noble and Lucile Barker. He married Sheila Gibson in 1951, and to this union one daughter, Lenita, was born.
Bill worked in the automotive transmission business for 55 years. He was the owner of Circle 4 Transmission at the time of his retirement. In 1987, he married Twila Nightengale.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Twila Barker, of the home; two daughters, Lenita Olsen and husband Steve of Shawnee, OK and Kristy Crawford and husband Rick of Albuquerque, NM; two sons, Guy Nightengale and wife Teresa of Flower Mound and Rusty Nightengale of McKinney; nine grandchildren, Josh, Carlye, Swade, Aaron, Nikki, Jami, Kyde, Kendra and Kala; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice and his loving caregiver, Shannon Dumer for their kindness.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the funeral home.
