Moore, Billy Bob Obit PicBilly Bob Moore, 82, a lifelong farmer in Wildorado, died Saturday at home following a long illness.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church and graveside at Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Born in Wildorado on July 3, 1934, to Laney and Beulah Cox Moore, Billy Bob married Margie Janhsen, also of Wildorado, on December 2, 1956, after being honorably discharged from the United States Army. An avid fan of West Texas A&M University athletics and pilot, he was active on a variety of community boards and committees, serving on the Wildorado Independent School District Board of Education for 27 years, as well as the Board of Directors at High Plains Industries; Holly Sugar; High Plains Underground Water District; the Board of Elders at Trinity Lutheran Church; and the Board of Regents at Concordia University in Austin.

Billy Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Laney and Beulah Cox Moore; brothers, Jack and M.K. Moore; and sisters, Mildred Moore and Joyce Thomas King.

Billy Bob is survived by his wife, Margie; son, Lanny and his wife Bonnie of San Antonio; and three grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachary and Kimberly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruth Stelzer Memorial Scholarship Fund at Trinity Lutheran School, or Texas Partners in Mission of the Texas District Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the funeral home.
