Billie “Mimi” Thompson, 84, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2013.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Llano Cemetery with Craig Albracht, of Hillside Christian Church South Campus, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Bill and Gladys Trammell. She married Altus Thompson on Nov. 15, 1945, in Childress. He preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Thompson worked for Amarillo Independent School District for 25 years.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Thompson in 2006; a sister, Rita Creps; and a granddaughter, Kristi Thompson.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Thompson and wife Pat of Amarillo; a daughter, Patricia McEntire and husband Wayne of Amarillo; a brother, Raymond Trammell and wife Theresa of Edmond, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jennifer Barker and husband Brian of Amarillo, Larry Thompson and wife Dawn of Louisville, KY, Brandie Grim of Amarillo, Matthew Thompson and Mason Thompson, both of Buda; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
