Billie was a loving mother, housewife, farmer’s wife and close friend to many.  She was a devoted Christian who drug her kids to church and instilled good Christian values in each of them.  She always had three meals on the table and still managed to help David on the farm and make sure that all the kids made it to their school activities.  She was active in the High School Band Booster Club and a Substitute Teacher.  She loved attending football games to see her son play football and watch her daughters march or twirl with the band during half-time.  When she wasn’t watching her kids perform, she worked tirelessly in the concession stand making cotton candy.  She also attended many band concerts and basketball games and track meets.  She served as a sponsor on many band trips.  Her favorite hobbies were bowling and cooking.

She opened The Sweet Shop in Tulia, TX in 1998.  She loved serving fresh donuts, huge brownies, apple fritters, cakes and lots of smiles and hugs.  She was then diagnosed with a brain tumor in which she overcame;  however, later closed the donut shop.
