Bill was born May 7, 1932, in Amarillo to William and Rozelle Wafford. He spent 20 years in the Air Force retiring at the rank of master sergeant as a jet engine mechanic. He loved hunting and fishing, and spent 7 years as a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Margaret Wafford.
Survivors include four daughters, Shari Brooks and husband Anthony, of Canyon, Marie Wilson and husband James, of Georgetown, Lauga Williams, of Iceland, Debra Pardue and husband Steve, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Brenda Mann, of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Open Heart Hospice, 508 N. Taylor, Amarillo, TX 79107.
