Betty Jane Pinter – November 2, 2017

Betty Jane Pinter, 81, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017.
No services are scheduled.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Betty was born on October 17, 1936 in Peoria, Texas to James Thomas and Wilma Dossey.  She graduated from Abbott High School in 1955, Navarro Junior College in 1958 and Baylor University in 1964 with a BBA/Secondary Education degree.  She taught High School Business classes for 35 years, 33 at Borger High School.
She married Paul Edward Pinter on September 9, 1961 in Abbott, TX.  He proceeded her in death in 2012.
She enjoyed many hours on motorcycle and ski trips to New Mexico and Colorado with her immediate/Borger family.  She also enjoyed many hours with family/friends at Lake Meredith.
Survivors include son, Carl Pinter of Amarillo, TX and a sister, Linda Johnston of Crowley, TX.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wayne Paullus, Jr., NWTH SICU staff and BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their services.

    To this day, I can not touch a calculator or keyboard without thinking of Mrs. Pinterest! She was an awesome teacher!

    I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Pinter was my typing teacher and I am so grateful for all she taught me. I was also fortunate to teach next door to her when I returned to BHS as a teacher.
