Bessie Pauline Glenn, 86, left this life to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2025. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 28, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Bessie was born on July 29, 1938, in Silverton, TX to Lloyd and Amelita (Walton) McCoy. She grew up in Silverton, Plainview, and Tulia. Bessie married James Glenn in 1972 and together, they owned Jack n’ a Box Convenience Store. She worked for Dillard’s Lancome for several years. She was a gentle, caring soul that helped and nurtured so many people. Bessie took on the care of her sister when their mother passed. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. Bessie loved to paint, and there are many paintings for her family to cherish.

Bessie was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, James Glenn; son-in-law, Tommy Leake; daughter-in-law, Janet McEntyre; sister, Stella; brothers, Lee McCoy and Harvey McCoy; and stepchildren, Mason Glenn and Elaine Alford.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Leake; sons, Terry McEntyre and Michael McEntyre and wife Lisa; sister, Shirley Anderson and husband Dale; cousins, Shela Davis and Lillie Shipman; grandchildren, Abby Clark (Kory), Ryan Leake (Kelly), Travis Leake (Ashley), Carrie McEntyre, Lisa Hall (Dusty), David McEntyre (Heather), Emily Betzing (Ryan), and Hanna Rose (Mitchell); 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family would like to thank BSA Hospice of the Southwest nurses, Bridget, Melissa, Melissa, Gemma, and Tonia. They would also like to give a special thanks to Heavenly Homes Care Home nurses, Stephanie, Deziree, Genesis, Angelina, Akaisha, and April, all for their loving care of Bessie. 

Family will receive friends from 5-6:30 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount.
