Barbara “Bobbie” grew up in Morganfield, KY and later moved to New Boston, Tx where she married Ovie and began their legacy. Her passion was flowers and she had an amazing green thumb. She loved to sew and her family. She was active in church, taught Sunday school, took ceramic classes and even participated in aerobic classes! She supported her children and grandchildren in their activities. Bobbie raised nieces NealAnn Williams of Somerville, Tx and Janis Bristow of Amarillo, Tx during summer months and outfitted them in special occasion clothes for Easter and Christmas. Her love sincerely knew no bounds.
Bobbie and Ovie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary here in this very church. Together with family and friends from all over she partook in her 90th and 95th birthdays. Ovie and Bobbie were married 65 years. She took her job as mother, friend, and mentor seriously until her last breath.
