Barbara Kay Banister – April 12, 2018

Barbara Kay Banister, 74, of Lubbock, died Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Silverton Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Barbara was born February 2, 1944, in Plainview, to Berle and Aloha Fisch.  She lived in Plainview for 25 years, before moving to Amarillo where she lived for 13 years.  The last 18 years, she lived in Lubbock.

Barbara had a 50-year career with SPS-Xcel.

Survivors include a daughter, Gina Bridges and husband, Jeff, of Lubbock; a sister, Linda Hare and husband Bruce, of Amarillo; special first cousins, Shirley Myers, of Tulia and Jimmy Myers, of Silverton; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Silverton Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 795, Silverton, TX 79257.

    Barbara and my mom, Joyce were best friends. We have shared many stories and laughed tons. We loved her very much and she will be greatly missed. Sry to family, but heaven gained a special lady.
