Arthur Robert “Art” Elliott was born February 13, 1941 in Urbana, Illinois to Dorothy Della Taylor and Claude Duane Elliott.  He died on 06/10/2018.

He married Marian Raef June 20, 1964.  Art is survived by his wife, a son, John Duane, wife Debbie, a son, Mark Lee, wife Cynthia, and 2 grandchildren Elizabeth Anne Irene and Nethanial John Arthur Elliott.  A brother, Will Elliott, wife Judi.  A brother-in-law, Howard Raef, wife Joanne, a sister-in-law, Linda Raef McCurdy, husband Harmon. A brother-in-law, Bobby Belcher.  An aunt, Viola Renegar, and many nieces and nephews.

Art was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws John Raef and Marjorie Bichsel.  Three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Raef Graham, Patricia Raef Belcher, and Toni Raef Berry.  A niece, Vicki Harp Welch, and a great-nephew, Cameron Welch.

Art attended Tuley High School in Chicago, Ill and joined the United Stated Air force in 1961.  He received his real estate license in l972.  He worked in the printing industry for 42 years and retired from C&B Printing in May 2010.

Art was a great cook, he raced stock cars, rode dirt bikes, street motorcycles, played ball golf.  He was very creative, made ceramics, did woodworking, and made various items so he could give things to others.  He had a cabin in the mountains and most recently enjoyed RV-ing and playing disc golf.

He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 5/20/1971 and quit smoking on July 19, 1991.  He was a member of St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church and a board member of the Alcoholic Recovery Center.

The family wishes to thank the staff at BSA ER and CCU and Vibra Hospital and the many physicians who cared for him but especially Dr. Jesus Sahad for the extraordinary care he was given.

Rosary and visitation will be at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018.  Funeral services will be at St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

    My heart is Broken for you all. Blake called me this morning and told me of Art’s passing. Art was so important to Blake- I was very honored to meet him. He was a wonderful man. He touched the lives of many young people in such a positive way. You are all in my heart, thoughts, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

    Met Art in 1999 he was the kindest most caring man I’ve ever met he was so kind to everyone he & Marion are the best, prayers for Marion & family for their loss of a great husband, man & friend.

    I worked with Art at C&B for years. Art had a great sense of humor. He always had witty one liner jokes. We will miss him dropping by the shop. We love you Marion. God bless your family.

    My heart is broken for you Marian. Having lost my precious Paul 4 years ago, I can truly understand the grief and shock you are going through now. I could not attend Art’s funeral because I have been ill. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Love and prayers, Bernadette
