Andy Wyatt – April 7, 2018

“Well done my good and faithful servant” is what Andy Wyatt 68, of Amarillo, heard on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Robbie Ashlock officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Andy was born October 28, 1949, in Amarillo to Andrew and Pat Wyatt.  He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968. He had worked at ASARCO as a mechanical engineer for over 43 years.  Andy also enjoyed helping his in-laws run Archie’s Fried Ice Cream stand at the Amarillo Tri-State Fair for 40 plus years.

He married Ann Ashton on August 1, 1969, in Amarillo.

He was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church.  Andy helped with Neighborhood Church for Kids for more than 20 years and taught Sunday school.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and parents-in-law, Archie and Lillian Ashton.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Ashton Wyatt, of Amarillo; two daughters, Kelli Weatherford and husband, Kevin, of Dumas, and Keena Ivie and husband Gene, of Amarillo; two sons, Kegan Wyatt and wife Tamra, of Meadow and Ketan Wyatt of Austin; honorary son, Derrick Hughes, of Amarillo; six sisters, Eddie Russell, Bobbie Wheeler and husband, Jim, Jackie Lunn, Mattelea Havron and husband Norman, Melody Purdy, and Jacqueline Mullins; brother-in-law, Glen Ashton and wife DeAnna, of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren, Rilee, Jake, Peyton, Kyler, Landri, Drake, Drew, Dalek, Libby, Cade, and Abby.

    We went to school together from the first grade.
    He was a great classmate. Always enjoyed seeing him at the snow cone stands. God Bless his family through this sad time. I know he will be truly missed.

    Andy was the kindest most selfless man that
    I have ever known. He lived his life for the Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

    I will always remember Andy as a gentle, quite man who always had a smile . He loved his kids and grandkids dearly. God gained a great servent. You will be missed .

    Oh what a boy,friend,and sweet man.My childhood has great memories of him. He was a great man in the Wyatt family. God is so happy to have him setting there with all the family.All the men and women are patting him on the back saying great job you keep your faith and was a good man.
