Alma Aguirre

Alma Angelina Aguirre, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away on December 13, 2024.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Mass will be at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Amarillo, Texas.

Alma was born in Mexico on October 26, 1946, to Gilberto and Cuquita Lara. She married Enrique Aguirre in Mexico on July 9th, 1966. Alma has lived in Amarillo since 1990. She enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling, and spending time with family. She worked at Levi’s Strauss and Cintas before officially retiring. Alma was an active Guadalupana at St. Laurence Catholic Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Cuquita and Gilberto, brothers: Gilberto y Armando. Sister: Mague. Grandson Andres, Granddaughter Andrea and Daughter-in-law Angelica.

Survived by her husband Enrique of Amarillo, TX, Brothers: Mario and Jose Enrique. Sisters: Hilda and Mary. son: Enrique J. Aguirre, daughters: Gely Aguirre and husband Angel Loera, Sylvia Rivas and husband Salvador Rivas, Karla Chavez and husband Jorge Chavez and eight grandchildren: Reneé, Christian, Nathan, Marcela, Isaac, Nichola, Adrian and Sierra. Great grandkids: Santiago, Victoria, Angela and Jasiel.
