Alice “June” Cannon, 89, of Amarillo, TX passed away March 5, 2025.
Visitation will be from 6-7:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Dumas Cemetery in Dumas, TX. Memorial service will follow at 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Trinity Fellowship Chapel in Amarillo, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
June was born September 12, 1935 in Friona, TX to Ed and Fern White. She graduated from Friona High School in 1955. She had worked as a realtor for many years at Windmill Realty in Dumas. June also worked for the City of Dumas. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and loved singing joyfully to the Lord and being a mighty prayer warrior for all of her family and friends. She was the best mom, gran, great-gran, sister, aunt, and friend. June loved each one with unconditional love and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her husband John R. Cannon; and grandsons, Kyle Cannon and Seton Oliver.
June is survived by her son, John Mark Cannon and wife Beth of St. Anthony, ID; daughters, Dianne Lovell of Dumas, TX and Terri Cannon of Lubbock, TX; brothers, Raymond White of Terry, MS and Richard White of Friona, TX; sister, Sue Hinds of Canyon, TX; grandchildren, Johnny Lovell, Whitney Lovell Chairez, Zane Oliver, Brittney Oliver, Katie Ostberg, Kelsey Pearson, Christopher Chamberlin, Terry Glenn Carnes, and Melissa Jones; and 13 great-grandchildren.
