Alice “Atl” Telles

Alice “ATL” Telles, loving mother, daughter, sister and dear friend passed away on August 31, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas.  She was 52 years old.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Power Church with Manny De Los Santos officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Alice was born on December 19, 1970, in Muleshoe, Texas.  She grew up in Friona, Bovina and Amarillo, Texas, where she resided.  Alice loved spending time with her grandkids.  She loved making crafts for the holidays for her grandkids.  She would go to see them as they played sports to cheer them on.  Alice was always going out of her way for any family and friends no matter how difficult the situation was.  She would have a dollar to her name and would do miracles to multiply it and help those in need.  Her favorite NFL football team was the 49er’s. Her dream car was a 1963 Chevy Impala.  She also liked to work on cars, doing mechanic’s work, using her knowledge from her late father, “Rudy”.  She loved listening to music, and you would always catch her on the dance floor dancing away.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; her father, Rodolfo “Rudy” Telles; a great-niece, Lola Nevah “Faith” Grisaffi; and her previous spouse, Joe Leon.

Survivors include her two daughters, Cassandra Daniels and her husband Tony with their children, Maquarrey, Maniyah, Bryson, Mariyah, Tyson, Siniyah, Cavion, and Traeson, all of Amarillo; Brittany Telles and fiancé Terrance Jones and children, Kenlee, Jazlynn, Terrance Jr., and Zayden, all of Amarillo; a son, Anthony Rico, of Amarillo; her mother, Mary Telles of Amarillo; three sisters, Beatrice Mata and husband Henry Mata, Dorothy Telles, all of Amarillo and Teresa Telles of Lubbock, Texas; a brother, Rocky Telles and wife Gabrielle of Amarillo; one nephew, eleven nieces, fifteen great-nephews, fourteen great-nieces, and one great-great niece.

Special thanks to all the nurses who took care of her over the years, especially the hospice nurses.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts who knew and loved her.
