Albert Carrol Williams

Albert Carrol Williams, 93, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.

Carrol was born on March 17, 1929, in Shamrock, Texas to Albert Newton and Lila Beatrice (Clark) Williams. He grew up on a farm north of Pakan, TX.

He married Helen Mernice Carreker on her 20th birthday, October 21, 1950. He served in the Army during the Korean War. After leaving the Military, he and his family owned and operated The Shamrock Slaughter House. In the 1970’s, he owned and operated Carrol’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q restaurant and The Kelly Motel.

After retirement, he and Helen enjoyed traveling and being work campers for KOA campgrounds.

Carrol was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; his brothers, Orsborn and JC; his sister, Dixie; and his daughter, Cynthia.

Survivors include his son, Danny Williams and wife Kim; grandson, Trebor Shaeffer and wife Rebecca; grandson, Michael Williams and wife Lauren; grandson, Ethan Williams; granddaughter, Lindsey Davidson and husband Devin; grandson, Garrett Williams and girlfriend Skyler Allen; five great-grandchildren, Austin Shaeffer, Cannon Williams, Lylah Williams, Izzy Williams, and Wyatt Davidson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Westview Christian Church in Amarillo.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be sent to BSA Hospice of the Southwest and Westview Christian Church in Amarillo.
