Frances Ann Clark

Frances Ann Clark, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away after a lengthy battle with

cancer. Frances had a deep love for Christ, her family, and her many friends.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at

Washington Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Jim Shelburne as officiant. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Frances was born July 2, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Alfred and Frances Ann White. Frances graduated from Amarillo High School and was married to her high school sweet heart Keith Clark for sixty-three years. Frances was co-owner of several hair salons in Amarillo and in Irving, Texas.

Frances, or “Mamie” as she was known by so many, was loved by children and adults across the state of Texas. She and Keith taught Sunday School in Irving, and she continued working with children for several years in Amarillo.  Countless children will remember the joy of receiving her weekly “Mamie Mail”.  Mamie loved children- especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She lived in Irving for almost 23 years and made many dear friends from her church and with the staff and associates from the Irving salon. She loved volunteering, flowers, working in the garden, the mountains, and the beach.

Frances is survived by her husband Keith, her sons Don Clark of Dallas and Keevin Clark of Irving, and daughter April and husband Dave Riggs from Amarillo. Frances has three grandchildren: Jessie McMeans and husband John, Nick Riggs and wife Taylor, and Charlie Clark. Frances has three great-grandchildren: Avery Riggs, Thatcher Riggs, and Cassidy McMeans. Frances was preceded in death by her father, mother, and an infant brother.

Frances taught her family to love selflessly and give generously, to work hard, play hard, and rest well, to live life boldly, take risks, and to always ride the roller coaster!
